About ISDUM:
The Israel Society in General Ultrasound was founded 28 years ago, by the three local pioneers in ultrasound (Prof Itzhak, Prof Kaftori and Dr Zakut) with the collaboration of Prof Barry Goldberg, as part of the Israel Radiological Society. The society members include Radiologists interested in the field of Ultrasound. There are currently about 120 members. Our society is a member of EFSUMB: European Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.
Our Society organizes an annual conference and short one-day courses in between on several topics, developed by local and foreign invited speakers, Both radiologists and ultrasound technicians take part in the conferences and courses
Future activities of the Society for Diagnostic Ultrasound
The annual meeeting of the Society will take place on 19.06.2012 in Leonardo Hotel (formerly Sheraton City Tower) in Ramat Gan.
The meeting will mark 30 years since the establishment of the Society and will somewhat differ from the pattern of the previous meetings. The program will be published at a later date. Guest speaker will be Professor Michelle Robbin, from the University of Alabama. She is one of the outstanding ultrasound personalities as phsician and active researcher and is well known as an excellent speaker.
Prof Barry B Goldberg, one of the founding fathers of our Society and whose name the meeting bears, has promised to honor us with his presence.
In 2013 we shall organize a two-day Euroson School in Israel, in place of the annual conv ention.
Exact location and topic of the course will be published in the near future.
Israel has the honor to be chosen as the meeting place of the Euroson 2014.
The meeting will take place in the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv at the date of 25-28 May 2014. The Eurson meeting is the Annual Meeting of EFSUMB-European Federation of Societies of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, of which we are part.Israel has been chosen at the last meeting of the WSFUMB-World Federation of Societies of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biolgoy in Vienna in 2011. This is a great honor for Israel and our Society.
