Pregnancy following IPAA-

• 38 of 438 (8%) women  became pregnant
•67 pregnancies:
•49 deliveries, 9 miscarriages, 7 therapeutic abortions and 2 were 2 presently pregnant
•Mean number of pregnancies:  1.8±0.9 (range 1-4)
Since ileostomy closure (or 1 stage prlvic pouch construction), 38 women had 67 pregnancies. 16 pregnancies were terminated: 9 as miscarriages and 7 as therapeutic abortions. 2 patients were currently pregnant. Both had given birth after the pelvic pouch operation  previously.
29 women had 49 deliveries: thirteen women had 1, twelve had 2 and four women had 3 deliveries.
