NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Mar 29 – Fish intake in Japan is higher than in western countries, but the incidence of asthma in Japan is lower. Despite this, a recent report indicates that the frequency of fish intake is directly related to the asthma risk in Japan.
Dr. Yousuke Takemura, from the Mie University School of Medicine, and colleagues compared the fish intake of 1673 school-age children with asthma with that of 22,109 controls.
