Tests Miss Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in Diabetics

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 01 – Diabetics are at increased risk of carpal tunnel syndrome, but the nerve conduction studies, which are normally used to diagnose the condition, may not be accurate in these patients, researchers report. Physicians should therefore rely more on symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome when examining diabetics, according to the investigators.
