Topical mitomycin C appears to be a safe and effective treatment for conjunctival or corneal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), even if there is extensive recurrent disease, study findings.
While topical mitomycin C has been shown to be effective for small surgically resectable malignancies, it was unclear if the agent was effective against more extensive disease, according to the report published in the May issue of the American Journal of Ophthalmology.
