NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Mar 22 – A common polymorphism in the human growth hormone 1 (GH1) gene apparently decreases the risk of colorectal cancer by reducing levels of growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I).
Writing in the March 20th issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Lo c Le Marchand, from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, and colleagues describe their analysis of two case-control studies.
